I cannot forget how did I face my first lesson in this department. At that time, I really did not understand what my lectures said. Therefore, I decided to increase my ability in english in order I can understand my lecturer’s words. There are three ways that I always do to increase my ability in english. The first way is memorizing many vocabularies. Every day I have to memorize minimum 10 vocabularies and practicing them in a sentence. It really helps me because my lecturer often uses new words when she speaks. The second way is reading english book. While I am reading the book, I have to find minimum 5 new vocabularies. Then I look for the meaning of them and practicing them in a sentence. The third way is speaking english every day. Someone is called to be able in language if he / she can speak well and correctly. Therefore, I usually speak english in my conversation every day with my friends. The result is Alhamdulillah my english ability has increased. I can understand anything my lecturer says. I am also able to identify the main idea of paragraph easily. Thus, I suggest you to do my habitually activity if you want to incrase your english ability.

The English Language is a life skill that is very important for all of people. It has become the requirement of citizen in order they can participate in global’s life. Globalization has decided the English Language as a linking of citizen inter country. As a consequence, all of life’s sectors use English Terminology. We can call the English Language as a bridge of knowledge because the development of Technology and Science is written in English Language. Thus, if we want to beat the development of Technology and Science, we must learn the English Language.
That is why the government makes the English Language becomes lesson in each study program either in diploma program or bachelor program. In junior and senior high school, the English Language become a prominent lesson so each student has to understand it if they want to pass in the National Examination. Using of the English Language has strong influence in citizen with the result that young ages children need to learn the English Language appropriately. The most important thing is understanding their environments. The English Language is used in TV programs, games, and books. For example when the children play game, they know the meaning of “pause”, “stop”, and “play”. Another significant thing is preparing the children in continuing their studies. When the students want to continue their studies to higher level, they are demanded to have a good skill in English. That is why they need to learn the English Language early to get maximum result. The children are counted on to get learning the English Language. Unluckily, this matter is not beaten by learning English language correctly.
Each child has potential to learn the English Language with the right way as they learn and understand their first languages. We are as a teacher has to understand the characteristic of children. Using the learning material and media has to support intended situation. For example, in teaching “what is your name?” the steps that can be done are; the first step is the teacher gives a dialog (video, demonstration, and reading). The video contains some dialogs that show statements like “Hello, what is your name?”, “My name is Nova. And you? What is your name?”, and “My name is Anik”etc. The next step is the teacher explains that she changed her name just now and ask the students to ask a question about her name and she will
answer their questions and ask their names in English Language. The third step is the teacher gives a new name to each students in an identity card. Asking the student to read, memorize, and set it flip over so their friends can not read it. Then the teacher ask all of students ask to their friends about their new names. Above all, the teacher can use this method to teach other material.
Pain and Power (1990) remind the teacher to pay attention in using The English Language in the class. In order the students can understand well such as, the first, the language must be simple and clear because the children of kindergarten cannot understand the language that has high level. The second, the teacher always support the students to use the English Language because the role of the teacher is very needed. The third, the teacher goes around the class to help the students that have any difficulties in order to make the students can understand the language well. The fourth, the teacher uses different technique and activity in order the students will not be bored. The fifth, the teacher gives freedom for the students to practice what that they have learned. The sixth, making a comfortable situation in order the students have a positive thinking in learning English Language. Therefore, as a teacher we have to know how to teach a material to our students.
The principal requirement of kindergarten students learn language is communication, so they can speak english well as supplies for their futures to face Era Globalization. Therefore learning English Language in kendergarten just memorize vocabularies as many as they can. As a teacher, we have to be able to teach English Language as well as possible. For example we have to teach how to communicate with other people naturally in order they will not forget the vocabularies easily. The mastery of many vocabularies can help the students understand other language.

Watching TV has become the most comfortable activity for most of people even children. The children waste their times to watch TV very much than studying or doing their assignments. There are really some bad effects in watching TV that can influence chidren’s lives, for example, changing the life style of children, being consumerism, and bothering their studies. The first effect is changing the life style of children. Most of TV channels show soap operas, for examples Suka Sama Kamu and Angel’s Diary and the children watch them. Unluckily, the soap opera usually tells love relationship and gangster. It causes most of elementary school’s students have a special relationship with their friends. We know that it is not good for them. The second effect is being consumerism. On Sunday morning, the children prefer watching TV than doing their assignments or doing some sports. Unhappily, most of TV programs show snack advertisements, for examples Chitato, Momogi, and Richeese and they show them attractively. Of course, the children will be interested to them although they do not know about the dangerousof the snack. The third effect is bothering the children’s studies. The children usually do their assignments while watching TV. Actually it does not matter if the children still concentrate to their assignments but they are often more attracted to their TV than their assignments. If it happens immediately, of course their studies will be bothering because of their habitually activities. However, watching TV has many bad effects but it also has good effects such as increasing the children’s knowledges and entertaining the children. For the first good effect is increasing the children’s knowledges. Some of TV channels show science. The children also become creative by watching TV programs because they can learn how to make toys from second – hand things. The TV program is like Laptop Si Unyil and Bocah Petualang. It also helps reduce global warming. The second good effect is entertaining the children. The children also need entertaining programs like adult people. They can get them by watching TV. In other side, it cah help refresh their minds.The example of TV programs are SpongeBob SquarePants, Larva, and Upin & Ipin. After we know about some effects by watching TV, we can control our children’s habitually activities or make the schedule when can the children watch TV or not. In order they still can have achievements in their studies although they like watching TV.

We know that English Language is used globally. It means that the citizen that have different culture have decided one language to be used in communication. Thus, if you want to have many knowledge, English Language is the important thing to be learned. We are as elementary school’s teacher need to introduce English Language to our children. The most important thing in learning english is preparing students in Era Globalization. It demands each person to prepare a good generation, especially in Technology and Science. It needs enough knowledge to face demanding of world. Of course the role of English Language is very important to have in pocket Communication Science and interact with other people in the world directly. Another significant thing is informing students about the world. We have known that English is an international language. Thus of there is a student that wants to go around the world he has to be able in english. In order they can communicate well with foreign people. In this matter, he will not need adult people to translate the language if there is a foreign people talks to him. Another important thing is preparing students for their higher studies. We know that English Language has become the most determined thing to continuing study, looking for a job, and social status in citizen. For example if there is an elementary school’s student wants to enrol to junior high school, he will be examined about his knowledge in english. As like that if he wants to look for a job. Finally the prominent reason in learning english in elementary school to give mastery in many vocabularies in order if the students continue to higher study, they will not get any difficulties.
