Hissha stands for Hearty, Intelligent, Scrupulous, Sophisticated, Hilarious, and Art-minded. Hissha is from Japanese means writer. Paragraph Writing Class - English Learning and Teaching 2012 - State University of Malang

            Learning English will always be fun as long as learners can imply a right learning method. As a language, English is also divided into two parts, those are spoken and written English.  Commonly, some people have more difficulties in written English. They might have a nervous and even confuse to start and write ideas. Facing that problem, Genre-Based Approach must be an appropriate solution that can be easily implied for Written English’s learners. In a classroom, the activities of genre approach just seem as the curriculum cycle, (Gee, 2005). It has for steps which lead learners in to a good writing. The first step is Context exploration. It is a step to establish learners’ actual development. It is used to measure students’ knowledge in order teachers can decide the starting point of where and how a subject should be started. It must not have any regulation that regulates learners in constructing idea. For example, in an elementary class of writing, Context Exploration can be implied on the first day of meeting by ordering learners to write anything about their life. In this case, teacher may not give them any direction with leads learners in making the paragraphs, such as theme, topic, title, or generic structure. The second order is Text Exploration based on Model Texts. As the first step successfully done, teachers will take more places by starting giving few direction and limitation as stimulus to have better paragraphs. In this case, learners began to construct ideas based on the topic given. Such as, making a paragraph which tells about learners’ experiences based on time signal or any other kinds of paragraph’s order. The Next stage is Joint Construction of a Text. In this step, a teacher will work together with learners to construct and correct texts. In case of writing, texts might be drifting or editing. Teachers also could give some comments and explanations in front of the class after correcting the students’ works so that students will know how to correct their own mistakes. The last of all is Individual Application. As the last step, this step requires learners to work individually without any teachers help and guidance. They are suggested to be independent composing some articles or even books. In young learner class of writing, Individual Application might be composing articles or papers. In brief, there are so many kinds of learning methods which purpose to ease learners in order to reach their aims easily yet each kind of learning process need different learning method so that people are suggested to use the most appropriate and uncomfortable one.
