Language is an amazing skill for children
to master and its development that many parents really look forward to.
Language development helps child’s ability to communicate, express, and
understand feelings. It also supports thinking of problem solving, developing,
and maintaining relationships.
Here
are a few of important things your child might achieve in language development
between three months and six years (childhood life) :
In
3-12 months, babies most likely play with sounds and begin to communicate with
gestures. They can give respond when you talk by making noises or becoming
quiet, make an eye contact, and laugh. They will respond when you say their
name. At around 12 months, they say a few clear words such as “mama” or “dada”
to refer their mom and dad.
In
12-18 months, the first words usually come appear and by 18 months babies use
around 50 words. Babies can understand more than they can say. They might be
able to follow simple instructions and understand you when you say “no”.
In
18 months to 2 years, babies’ vocabulary will probably grow approximately from
50 to 300 words. At first they will understand mostly nouns than eventually a
few verbs and adjectives. They will start to put two words together into short
sentences. They might say ‘tar’ instead of ‘car’ or might leave the end of words
altogether.
In
2 until 3 years around, they will be able to speak longer. They can say more
complex sentences and use more speech sounds properly when they speak. They
might play and talk at the same time. We will probably be able to understand
most of what they said by the time they becoming three.
In
3 up to 5 years, they are a preschooler. We can expect longer, more abstract and
complete conversations. Their vocabularies will continue to grow. They might
show that they understand the basic rules of grammars as they experiments with
more complex sentences and we can look forward to entertaining some stories
too.
In
5 until 6 years, they will learn more words and start to understand how the
sound in language works together. They will get it during the early school
years. They will gradually become a better story teller as they learn to put
words together in a variety of ways and build different types of sentences.
To
sum up, language is very important for child to learn and very critical
dramatic lessons for parents to face. They ought to mastering first before they
teach their child with the right way and rules of speak. Instead children use
their own language during their early years is not a big problems because children
can be well spoken gradually by the time.
